EDGY design – edge and character

What defines the EDGY series is its sharp 45-degree edges. This design detail is not merely visual, but an integral part of the overall experience. The edges create a dynamic interaction between light and shadow that changes throughout the day as the sun moves.

The geometric lines give the planters an architectural, almost sculptural appearance. EDGY planters are designed to function as visual focal points in outdoor spaces – both as standalone elements and in dialogue with their surroundings.

Corten steel – from industrial to golden tones

Corten steel is a living material that undergoes a natural transformation over time. From day one, the steel begins to develop its characteristic rust-coloured patina – a process that typically takes 6–12 months, depending on weather conditions and placement.

Initially, the steel appears in more industrial grey tones. Gradually, warm golden, orange and brown hues emerge, eventually stabilising into a deep rust-coloured surface. This patina also acts as a natural protective layer against corrosion, ensuring a long service life without the need for maintenance.

Extra-robust construction in 3 mm steel

With a material thickness of 3 mm, EDGY corten steel planters are particularly robust. The increased thickness makes them well suited for larger plantings such as shrubs and small trees, where high demands are placed on stability and load-bearing capacity.

The solid construction ensures that the planters can handle large volumes of soil and changing weather conditions without deforming or losing their precise geometric shape.

Flexibility in function and placement

EDGY planters can be adapted to your specific needs. Choose between models with or without a base – base-free models are ideal for direct ground contact and larger plantings, while versions with a base are well suited for terraces and balconies.

Wheels can also be added for increased mobility, allowing the planters to be easily moved and repositioned according to changing needs, light conditions or seasons. This makes EDGY planters a long-term and flexible solution.

The geometric EDGY design pairs particularly well with architectural plants such as bamboo, ornamental grasses, shaped shrubs and succulents. The combination of sharp lines and structured planting creates a modern and balanced expression.
