BAZE steel coffee tables – raw or black lacquered

BAZE coffee tables from byJEMA are made from welded steel, with clean lines and exposed welds that show how the tables are put together. The construction is part of the design, giving the tables a simple, industrial look.

Choose between raw steel and black lacquered steel, depending on the finish you prefer. All BAZE coffee tables are designed and made at our own factory in Denmark.

Raw steel coffee tables

Natural variations in colour and texture give each table its own character, and the surface will change with use. Over time, small scratches, marks and a developing patina become part of its appearance.

The raw steel works well alongside wood, leather and soft fabrics, adding a different texture to the room.

Raw steel needs regular care to help prevent rust. Wipe up spills straight away and follow our care instructions to protect the surface.

Black lacquered coffee tables

If you prefer a more even finish, BAZE is also available in black lacquered steel. The welds are still visible, but the black surface gives the table a simpler, more uniform appearance.

In a light living room, a black coffee table adds contrast. It also works well with darker furniture or other black details, such as lamps, shelving and picture frames.

Finding the right place for your coffee table

BAZE is made for everyday use, with room for coffee, books and the things you like to keep close to the sofa. The steel contrasts nicely with upholstered furniture, whether you have a light fabric sofa or a darker leather one.

Think about the size of your sofa and how much space you need to walk around the table. You can leave the steel surface mostly clear or add a few favourite pieces, such as a vase, a ceramic bowl or a stack of books.

Made from welded steel in Denmark

BAZE coffee tables are built from welded steel, with the welds left visible rather than concealed. They show where the different steel sections come together and are one of the details that define the BAZE design.

We design and manufacture the tables at our own factory in Denmark, handling everything from cutting and welding the steel to finishing the completed table.

How to care for your BAZE coffee table

The two finishes need slightly different care.

Raw steel requires regular maintenance to protect it from moisture and rust. Follow our care instructions and always wipe up spills promptly.

Black lacquered steel is easier to maintain. Simply clean it with a soft cloth and mild soapy water. Avoid abrasive cleaners, and protect the surface from scratches, knocks and hot objects.

Taking care of the surface will help keep your table looking good with everyday use.
