Christmas ornaments and decorations in corten steel
A Christmas tree by the front door, snowmen on the patio or a star among pots filled with fir branches. With corten steel Christmas decorations, you can decorate your outdoor space and create a display to enjoy year after year.
Explore byJEMA’s corten steel Christmas decorations, made at our own factory in Denmark and available in a range of shapes and sizes. Their simple silhouettes are easy to combine with the Christmas decorations you already have, whether you prefer a single figure by the entrance or a larger display with fir branches, lanterns and lights.
Christmas trees, snowmen and stars in corten steel
Christmas trees are part of December, but they do not all need needles. Our corten steel Christmas trees let you use this familiar shape in a different way. Place a single tree by the door or group several sizes together.
The snowmen can stand alongside the Christmas trees or have their own place by the entrance, along the house wall or on the patio. The stars can be included in the same display, bringing the different designs together.
You do not need to choose everything at once. Start with the figure you like best and build your Christmas display over several years. Using the same material makes it easy to combine new decorations with those you already have.
Rust-coloured Christmas decorations with an ever-changing surface
Corten steel develops a rust-coloured patina over time when exposed to the elements. The surface gradually changes from the steel’s original appearance to warm shades of orange, reddish brown and darker brown.
The patina develops gradually, influenced by the weather and where the decoration is placed. Colours may therefore vary between figures, particularly at first. This is a natural characteristic of the material, and the surface continues to change over time.
The warm colours pair well with green fir branches, moss and pine cones. Keep the display simple with a few natural materials, or add red ribbons and other Christmas decorations if you would like more colour.
Decorate your front entrance, patio and garden
The entrance is a natural place for Christmas decorations. You see them when you come home, and they welcome family and guests throughout December. Place them beside planters filled with fir branches, for example, or alongside a lantern.
On the patio, arrange your Christmas decorations where you can also see them from inside the house. A group of figures in front of a hedge or a plain house wall makes the silhouettes stand out. If you have several sizes, stagger them slightly so that each design is visible.
Lighting can also be part of the display. A string of lights on the Christmas tree or small lights between the decorations makes them visible after dark and gives them a different look from their daytime appearance.
Bring out your Christmas decorations again next year
The corten steel Christmas decorations can be used year after year. You might give them a regular spot by the door or move them around and try a new arrangement next December.
Change the fir branches, plants and lights while keeping the steel figures as a familiar part of your Christmas display. This way, you can create your own Christmas traditions with decorations from byJEMA’s factory in Denmark.
