Corten steel requires no maintenance.
The material is delivered with a thin oil film that protects during transport – wash lightly with warm soapy water after installation to remove this.

The patination process will then begin, where the steel gradually changes colour from light orange to a warm rust tone.
The natural patina protects against corrosion and gives a living, characteristic appearance.

💡 If you want faster patination, you can spray lightly with salt water to speed up the process.
